Earth Week celebration planning underway

April 22 is the 46th celebration of Earth Day. Each year, we are reminded that planetary survival depends on the actions of great institutions — governments, businesses, educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, etc. — over which as individuals we have limited control and whose progress seems glacial, as documented by the results of the 2015 Paris Climate Summit.

So, what is the individual to do? First, take heart in Margaret Mead’s prophetic observation — “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has” — and, then, get involved.
