Students read over 38,000 minutes and raise over $3,000 in Read-A-Thon

The 2015 Read-A-Thon at Pagosa Springs Elementary School in November was a huge success. The students read over 38,000 minutes and over $3,000 was earned from local businesses, family and friends who sponsored the readers.

The money will be used for supplies and materials for all of the “specials” classes at the school, which include physical education, fitness, art, music and library.

Partners In Education (PIE) and the elementary school kids are so thankful to the many local and Durango-based businesses and individuals that helped make the Read-A-Thon successful by donating money and prizes.
