A time to celebrate and help others

Posted

Santa’s helpers from the town’s streets department, parks and recreation department and the Visitor Center have been busy adorning Pagosa Springs with festive holiday decorations and sparkling lights.

With just about two weeks left until Christmas, you will find the PREVIEW calendar is jam-packed with plenty of holiday events to enjoy this season.

There is definitely not a lack of talent in Pagosa Springs when you look at the list of plays, musical events and parties that are planned from now until Christmas.

There were so many area church-related events, that we created a separate calendar to highlight them.

Local retailers have decked out their establishments in grand style and joined in the festivities with open houses, sales and merchandise for that perfect gift.

The holidays are a time of giving. Anyone who has an email account or a television certainly had to know that Tuesday was Colorado Gives Day … a day for charitable giving.

For Pagosa Springs, every day is Colorado Gives Day.

You will find local benefactors providing shelter, supplementing childcare, supporting children’s programs and activities, helping to pay rent and electric bills, lending a hand, delivering a meal and buying groceries to assist their neighbors in need throughout the year.
