Nancy Malone James, 77, went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Oct. 22.
Nancy was born in Garrison, Texas, on Sept. 6, 1938, to the Rev. Sam R. Malone and Susie Malone.
She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Thomas James, and her daughters, Kathy Nehrenz and husband Dave, Kymberly Knippa; and stepsons Tommy James and wife Cinda, Todd James, and Don Alexander II. Also, nine grandchildren: Matthew, Justin, Faith, Kurt, Mark, Stephen, Michelle, Travis and Darin; one great-grandson, Noah; niece Laure Reminick; and nephew Mark Edwards.
Nancy was a devoted prayer warrior and her passion was sharing our Savior’s love in any way she could. She was also dedicated to helping animals and was an avid volunteer for Watermelon Ranch and the Archuleta County animal shelter. Nancy touched the hearts of all who crossed her path with her giving heart, contagious smile and sparkling eyes. She will be deeply missed by us all. Services were held on Oct. 29 at Cottel Funeral Home in Troup, Texas, located at 105 East Bradford. Graveside followed at Jacksonville City Cemetery.
