Ronald “Ron” Paul Hastings was a resident of Pagosa Springs for the past 10 years, having previously lived in Denver and in southern California.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Emma I. (Monroe) Scott, and stepdad, Glenn N. Scott. He is survived by his son, Matthew Scott Hastings, and his daughter, Julie Ann Hastings, both from the Phoenix, Ariz., area. He also is survived by an older sister, Donna Clemison, and her husband, Bob, of Pagosa Springs, and a younger sister, Tamara Joann Connor, and her husband, Curt, of Mattawa, Wash. Ron was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, having served in Vietnam in the 1970s.
Even though Ron was loved and will missed by his family, we know that the Lord loved him even more and we trust that Ron is safe and happy in the arms of Jesus.
