Medicare looks complex, but it doesn’t have to be. The Colorado SHIP (State Health Insurance Assistance Program) gives you free, personalized and unbiased counseling to help answer Medicare questions.

The program’s counselors are trained in all aspects of Medicare. And the help is local — when you contact the Colorado SHIP toll-free number, you are connected to counselors in your area.

With the short window of Medicare Open Enrollment (Oct. 15-Dec. 7), it’s important not to wait to seek help. Medicare is complex enough without the stress of dealing with it at the last minute. The counselors can help you in many ways:

• Help you review your Medicare options and tell you which Medicare plans are available in your area.
