Special to The PREVIEW

The Mountain View Homemakers are delighted to have Ray Pierotti, project/lighting specialist with the La Plata Electric Association (LPEA), speak at our Oct. 8 meeting.

Pierotti gave a presentation to our members six or seven years ago. He was such an interesting speaker and was so well received that we’ve asked him to return.

Pierotti will be telling us about all of the new light bulbs that are available and how to save on electricity in our homes. In addition, he’ll tell us about the free services offered by LPEA, including energy audits. We’re also looking forward to the written materials and lighting goodies that he will be bringing us.

All area women are invited to meet at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 8, in the Extension center at the fairgrounds.

Members will provide a covered-dish lunch at noon. First-time visitors are not expected to bring food. However, everyone who attends is asked to please bring their own place setting.

The Mountain View Homemakers is a 50-year-old women’s service organization. We welcome all area women who are interested in bettering their lives, the lives of their families and the community as a whole. The monthly meetings include lunch and a speaker or activity. This is a wonderful opportunity to make new friends in the community.

There are no dues or membership requirements to join our friendly group. Call Tozi Rubin at 731-3360 with questions.
