Emergency personnel tend to a plane crash on Sept. 25.Two died when a small plane crashed south of Pagosa Springs late Friday morning.
The crash was reported at approximately 11:26 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 25, according to the Archuleta County Sheriff's Office.
The ACSO confirmed that there were two occupants in the aircraft, with both being from out of state. The individuals have not been identified, pending further notification of family.
The initial investigation was completed by the ACSO, and the department will transfer the case to the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) for further investigation.
The ACSO, Pagosa Fire Protection District, Emergency Medical Services and the coroner responded and provided assistance on scene.
