Archuleta County is participating again this year with the Drug Enforcement Administration’s national take-back program for prescription drugs.
Any unused or expired prescription medications are a public safety issue, leading to accidental poisoning, overdose and abuse. Prescription drugs that are flushed contaminate the water supply. Proper disposal of prescription medication saves lives and protects the environment.
