'Restaurant: Impossible' calling for local volunteers

The Food Network’s hit show "Restaurant: Impossible" is taping an episode right here in Pagosa Springs and your help is needed.

The show, in its 12th season, is renovating The Rose in only two days and with only $10,000, and is calling for local volunteers.

To volunteer, come to The Rose, located at 408 Pagosa St.

Volunteers may be painting, crafting, doing construction, remodeling, cleaning or decorating depending on their skill set. The show is always looking for skilled contractors, electricians, plumbers and painters willing to donate their time. You are encouraged to bring friends.

The first shift runs today, Wednesday, Sept. 9, until 10:30 p.m.

The second shift runs Thursday, Sept. 10, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Simply come to the rear of the restaurant to sign in. You can do more than one shift, and you do not have to stay for the entirety of the shift.

Volunteers must be 18 years old or older. The dress code is casual (sneakers/boots, plain tops with no logos, comfy clothing you don’t mind getting dirty). Meals and beverages will be provided.

The grand opening of the new-and-improved restaurant will be held Thursday, Sept. 10, at 7 p.m.

To make a reservation, email rivolunteer@shootersinc.com with the subject line “1204 Reservations.”

Include your full name, the number of people in your party and a telephone number. Email reservation requests must be submitted by 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10.
