Special to The SUN

Join Donovan and Jill Porterfield for some fun family outdoor adventures for the last time this summer with the Pagosa Ranger District’s Family Walks in the Woods series.

Explore easily accessible areas of our beautiful mountain woods, while together learning more about a unique and wonderful place — the San Juan National Forest.

Children of all ages are welcome to join the fun with the “Predator vs. Prey” program, or “Who Eats Whom?” on Wednesday, Aug. 26, that will run from 10 until 11:30 a.m. or so.

Directions: For convenience, we will begin our adventures each time at the parking area on the left side of Piedra Rd. just after the first cattle guard, about 6 miles north of U.S. 160.
