Pagosa Springs Earth Community planning activities

Special to The PREVIEW

The Pagosa Springs Earth Community, like most loved babies, is growing by leaps and bounds. At its last meeting, a structure was decided upon to distinguish the four specific opportunities we now have available:

1. A person can become a member of the Earth Community by filling out a membership information form, which then lets them access to our communication network for activities and learning opportunities. The group has both email blasts and a Facebook group called Pagosa Springs Earth Community, and will have a website in the future.

2. Starting in September, a monthly or bimonthly book discussion will be held at the library for those people who want to seriously study concepts of change for the future.

The discussions will begin with David Korten’s newest edition of “When Corporations Rule the World.” This book discussion will be facilitated by Suzanne Coe. At the end of each discussion session, the assigned reading, format and date for the next meeting will be determined, then publicized. The group will have an open membership, be self-directed and totally discussion-oriented.
