Archuleta County’s transportation manager, John Egan, was recently designated a certified community transit manager by the Community Transportation Association of America.
According to a press release from the Community Transportation Association, “The Certified Community Transit Manager Program recognizes community transit managers for specific skills they have acquired through experience, education and professional development and a passing score on the certification exam.”
The certification, Egan said, “is a designation recognized throughout the country and identifies the holder as someone who has really made a study of public transportation and has embraced it as a career choice. In effect, it gives the holder professional credentials recognized in the industry.”
