The School of Business Administration at Fort Lewis College announced that, as of June 15, Richard Lindblad will serve as interim director of the Southwest Colorado Small Business Development Center (SBDC) while the search for a permanent director continues.

Paul McGurr, interim dean of the School of Business Administration, stated, “I am thrilled that we are able to have an experienced businessman and small business counselor like Rich Lindblad to serve as director of the SBDC in this period of transition.”

Lindblad has been a business advisor for the Southwest Colorado SBDC for over nine years. He met individually with clients who were starting or growing businesses. Four of those years included teaching the Leading Edge for Entrepreneurs program.

Lindblad comes to the position with a master’s degree in organizational behavior from Farleigh Dickinson University and a bachelor’s in management science from Rutgers University in New Jersey, as well as many years as a business professional.
