Rain has been no stranger to Pagosa Country this spring, and the wet weather is set to continue to be an acquaintance in the coming days before breaking off into sunny weather next week.
With the precipitation continuing to fall over Pagosa Country, area rivers will remain high for several days, and, as the rivers have threatened flooding in areas, local officials are reminding people that caution and awareness are critical to being safe around the water.
While the flash flood warning put into effect yesterday expired that afternoon, the county remains under a flash flood watch through Thursday evening.
That warning indicates that the current storm continues today (Thursday, June 11) with additional showers and thunderstorms possibly bringing heavy rain throughout the day.
