County approves additional road funding, ambulance regs

While there was no regular meeting of the Archuleta County Board of County Commissioners on June 2 due to multiple commissioners being out of town, two-thirds of the board held a special meeting on May 26 to take care of pending business.

At that meeting, in addition to approving a memorandum of understanding with the school district and town to allow the school district to take advantage of currently unused fibers owned by the town and county (see last week’s issue of The SUN for more), the board also approved additional road funding and approved updated ambulance regulations.

Commissioner Clifford Lucero was absent from the meeting.

Road funding

In a resolution, the board authorized the expenditure of funds from the Fairfield Settlement Fund to be used in completing “critical” road repairs within the Pagosa Lakes Property Owners Association.

More specifically, the funds will come from the portion of the settlement funds held by PLPOA, which require the approval of both entities to use.
