While many of the details are still in question at the local level, it was announced last week that Congress approved funding for the Secure Rural Schools (SRS) Program as part of a bill that also provides a permanent fix to the Medicare reimbursement system.
The SRS program provides resources for public schools, road improvements and maintenance projects in more than 700 rural counties across the country.
