Special to The PREVIEW

The local builders’ committee, in conjunction with the Town of Pagosa Springs, is excited to offer the community an opportunity to share and learn about the world of HVAC — heating, ventilation and air conditioning — as it relates to residential construction, repair and remodeling.

If you have an interest in the HVAC industry, are a contractor, subcontractor, vendor, consumer or just want to get certified, here is your opportunity.

The group wants to meet and share with you valuable life-saving, health and welfare information during a public forum on Wednesday, April 29, at 5 p.m. at the Ross Aragon Community Center, 451 Hot Springs Blvd. Leading professionals from the HVAC industry, town, fire department and state plumbing inspector’s office will be on hand to answer your questions and provide information. The hope is that this forum will benefit the community as a whole.

The right HVAC education can drive field performance to a higher level. Certification can lead to professionalism and increased vendor and consumer satisfaction. Robert Sparks, a professional engineer and designer from VHE Innovations, will teach a free residential HVAC education class for certification on May 14, 15 and 16 at the Community Center. Class reference material can be purchased on your own or through the town building department.

Please preregister for the HVAC education class at the Town Building Department, Ponderosa Lumber or at the public forum on April 29.

For additional information, please contact the Town Building Department in the Town Hall, 551 Hot Springs Blvd., phone 264-4151, ext. 223, or Ponderosa Lumber, 2435 Eagle Drive, phone 731-4111.
