Home values in the southwest region (Alamosa, Archuleta, Conejos, Costilla, Dolores, Hinsdale, La Plata, Mineral, Montezuma, Saguache and San Juan counties) of Colorado are considerably improved year-to-date when compared to 2014, according to statistics released this week by the Colorado Association of Realtors.

While low inventories of homes to sell continues to be a problem, there were signs of some improvement over the first three months of 2015.

The median sales price for the 347 single-family homes sold year-to-date was $235,750, an increase of 1 percent compared to 2014. For condominiums and townhouses taken together, the median price rose 10 percent to $215,000 for 65 properties sold this year.
