On Monday, March 23, Colorado Department of Transportation contractor Old Castle SW, Inc., began a project on U.S. 160 from mile post 103 in Bayfield east to mile post 117 at the bottom of Yellow Jacket Pass.

The project involves pavement deep-patch repair followed by asphalt resurfacing (a 1-inch mat to level the surface and an additional 3 inches of new asphalt). The work will also include the installation of new guardrail. Old Castle was awarded $5.2 million for the project, which will continue through August 2015.
