Paul served his country in the Navy during the Korean War on the USS George Clymer. His passion was taking care of his family and running the business he loved.
Day Lumber was started in 1926 in Salem, Mo. and moved to Pagosa Springs by Paul, Vernon and their dad, Chester, in 1946. They logged, sawed and sold the lumber themselves. The lumber business was his passion.
His family was his life. He was a man that touched many people with his wit, humor and caring heart. He will be greatly missed.
Due to circumstances, the family will be holding a private graveside service. At a later date there will be a public memorial service, when Etta Faye can be present.
