Fraudulent tax returns discovered

The Colorado Department of Revenue (CDOR) recently discovered potential fraudulent activity on 2014 income tax returns filed electronically through commercial third-party tax preparation software.

CDOR is actively working with other states and the tax software industry on this issue and is monitoring income tax filings to ensure that the taxpayer receives the proper refund.
