Anthony John Montoya-Martinez, dearly loved son, father, boyfriend, uncle, brother, grandson and friend was called home to our dear Lord on Feb. 6. Anthony was born on July 27, 1981, to Linda Montoya and Johnny Martinez in Grand Junction, Colo.
He left behind his girlfriend, Lyndsey Lucero, of nine years, and his son, Leon Martinez, age 2; his two sisters, Sophia Montoya (spouse Jimmy Dee) and Jessica Walden (spouse Jason); his brother, Jonas Montoya (Grand Junction Colo.); his beloved mother, Linda Montoya, and Bob Smith; tio Robert, and nieces and nephews who he loved dearly. He’s preceded in death by his dad, Johnny; brother, Brian; and uncle, Roland.
Anthony loved life and spent his free time being a wonderful dad to his son. He enjoyed the outdoors and was always up to tell a good joke. He will be dearly missed by so many who loved him.
Services will be held at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Pagosa Springs. Rosary will be Friday, Feb. 13, at 6 p.m. Mass will be held Saturday, Feb. 14, at 10 a.m. Reception to follow at the Parish Hall.
