Terry Thornton, dearly loved husband of Christine Thornton, went to be with the Lord peacefully with his family near on Jan. 21 at the age of 56 in Dallas, Texas.
Terry was born Jan. 17, 1959, to Oscar and Peggy Thornton. Leaving behind is lovely wife, Christine, of 33 and one-half years. They were married in Quinlan, Texas, April 18, 1981. Three children, Soundra Harding, Tammy Miller and David Thornton, and six cherished grandchildren. Two sisters, Thersa and Sherry, and two brothers, Brady and Stanley.
Raised in Quinlan, Texas, and moved to Pagosa Springs in 1999 and lived on the Lower Blanco, where he leaves behind a legacy and many friends. Terry enjoyed all that Pagosa Springs had to offer: hunting, fishing and camping and off-road jeeping and building old cars that ran like a dime.
Terry will be missed by all.
The service will be in Quinlan, Texas, Saturday, Jan. 31, at 10 a.m. at Ingram Funeral Home.
Instead of flowers, please make donations to the family. Donations can be sent to Christine Thornton, 7610 County Road 3223, Loan Oak, TX 75453.
If there was one thing that Terry would say to those he left behind, it would be, “If you don’t have time to do it right, when will you have time to do it again?”
