Reservoir Hill forest-thinning project will begin soon

The proposed Reservoir Hill forest-thinning project is tentatively scheduled to begin next month, according to a recent announcement from the Town of Pagosa Springs, which posted all of the relevant documents on its website this week.

The Mountain Studies Institute (MSI), acting as the fiscal agent for the San Juan Headwaters Forest Health Partnership, applied for and received $63,531 worth of grant money late last year from the Colorado State Forest Service (CSFS) to help improve forest conditions on Reservoir Hill.
