Elected official's oaths, ceremony draw objections

Controversy has arisen following last week's ceremony in which a handful of officials elected or re-elected last November took their oaths of office for their terms beginning this month.

Following the ceremony, at which five officials took their oaths of office, several individuals objected both verbally and in writing to the Archuleta County Board of County Commissioners, with objections to when the ceremony was held and the substance of the oaths administered.
