Village decision receives 19 objections, process continues

With the initial objection period now closed for the draft decision regarding the approval of a land exchange for the controversial Village at Wolf Creek, the U.S. Forest Service has revealed that 19 objections were received during the 45-day window.

However, Rio Grande National Forest spokesman Mike Blakeman said that not all of the comments may have been from people in “good standing,” meaning that the people would have had to have submitted “substantive” comments on the draft environmental impact statement (EIS).
