Town adopts fee schedule

When the Pagosa Springs town council met Tuesday night, there were several routine business items on the agenda — setting the time, date and place for regular meetings; renewing the financial stability policy, which has been in place for several years; and reviewing the town’s fee schedule.

As it turns out, while the mid-month meeting was moved to 5 p.m. instead of noon and there was little concern about what would happen if sales tax collections dropped, the council had never really taken a close look at what it charges its citizens for various fees, something that Town Manager Greg Schulte plans to change.
