Homemakers learn to tie scarves

“All Tied Up” is the name of the program for the January meeting of Mountain View Homemakers. co-president Cheryl Moore will demonstrate a variety of ways to tie scarves. Those attending should bring a scarf or scarves to this very fun and timely presentation.

All area women are invited to meet at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 8, in the Extension building at the fairgrounds. There will be a covered dish lunch at noon. Women interested in finding out more about the organization are invited to attend and visitors are not expected to bring food. Moore’s program will follow.

Mountain View Homemakers is a monthly gathering of area women who are interested in making their lives and the lives of their families and the community more enjoyable. The meetings include lunch and a speaker or activity.

At least one meeting each year is a hands-on community project, and the July meeting is an auction/fundraiser. This 50-year-old organization also produces the Holiday Bazaar on the first Saturday in November.
