Planning commission to develop cargo container regulations

While no formal motion was made or vote tallied, the Pagosa Springs Town Council overwhelmingly agreed that the planning commission should move forward with the work it has done on developing regulations for cargo containers and metal-sided buildings.

“Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes,” Councilor David Schanzenbaker reacted to the presentation by Town Planner James Dickhoff. Everyone else laughed, but also nodded their heads in agreement.

Dickhoff had spent more than 10 minutes detailing the issues he has faced with cargo containers so far. More than two dozen of these structures are currently in place within town limits, and eight have been installed within the last four months.
