Draft 2015 budget presented to county commissioners

In a special meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 15, Archuleta County Administrator Bentley Henderson presented the first preview of the county’s 2015 budget to the Board of County Commissioners.

The county is set to approve the budget on Dec. 17, with a public hearing set for that same day.

In the interim, specifically this week and next, the BoCC is holding departmental meetings to discuss the budget and requests from each department more in depth prior to the Dec. 17 meeting.

According to Henderson’s presentation, which he likened to the 30,000-foot view from an airplane (which shows little detail), the county currently anticipates receiving $27,315,400 in revenue across all county’s funds, but Henderson noted that the number was likely to change prior to the final budget.
