Lynch named to Region 9 Loan Committee

Livia Cloman Lynch, Ph.D., a Pagosa Springs native, has joined the Region 9 Economic Development District’s Business Loan Fund Committee. Lynch has degrees in agriculture economics and agribusiness, and a Ph.D. in applied economics.

Lynch has worked as an agricultural economist and business professor in Iowa, Georgia and for Colorado State University before returning to her family cattle ranch in Pagosa Springs. Lynch is a business owner and has been active with the Southwest Colorado United Way Board of Directors and the Pagosa Springs Rotary Club, currently serving her second term as president.

She has also been involved in education since returning to Pagosa Springs with the Archuleta County school advisory committees, serving as a past executive director of the Archuleta County Education Center and coordinator for student services for Southwest Colorado Community College.

Lynch was approved by the Region 9 Executive Board and will be an Archuleta County representative on the loan committee. The loan committee is composed of two representatives from each of the five counties in southwest Colorado, plus two at-large positions.
