Hunter education class offered

A hunter education class will be offered Aug. 28 and 29 from 6 to 10 p.m. on Thursday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday. (Students must attend both sessions.) Classes will be held at the San Juan Mounted Patrol Building, 302 San Juan St. The fee is $10.

This class will be open to anyone wishing to obtain a hunter safety card. If you were born on or after Jan. 1, 1949, you are required to have a hunter safety card before purchasing a hunting license. Students should register online prior to the class. To register, go to wildlife.state.co.us/hunting and click on “Hunter Education.” Then click on “find a course at a place and time to fit your schedule” at the top of the page and follow the directions.
