Final Picnic in the Park tomorrow


Our last Picnic in the Park for this season is tomorrow, Friday, Aug. 15. We will be serving smoked riblets, baked beans, coleslaw, tossed salad and carrot cake. Jack Collinsworth will be back, entertaining us with his fabulous music.

Prescription Drug Plan Open Enrollment is Oct. 15 to Dec. 7. This is your opportunity to continue with your current prescription drug plan or choose a new prescription drug plan.

Senior trips

On Saturday, Aug. 23, a group of our seniors is going to Creede for a fun day to watch “Annie Get Your Gun.”

Then, on Friday, Aug. 29, a sightseeing tour with lunch is scheduled for Ghost Ranch near Abiquiu, N.M.

Remember, that these ASI special trips are at a reduced price, are on a first-come, first-served basis, and must be prepaid. Please check and confirm that your name is on the list as we can only accommodate a limited number.


Senior discount club memberships are offered Monday through Friday.


Did you know that the Pagosa Springs Senior Center Community Café has a wonderful salad bar? The salad bar is $6 for anyone under 60. If you are a senior (60 years and older), you are eligible for a hot meal, drink and salad bar for only a $4 suggested donation.

All meals include our salad bar. Lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Monday, Aug. 18— Hot turkey sandwich, mashed potatoes, gravy and honey carrots.

Tuesday, Aug. 19 — Chicken or cheese enchiladas, beans, rice, corn and fruit.

Wednesday, Aug. 20 — Swiss steak, whole grain pasta, broccoli/cauliflower and berries.

Reservations and cancellations are required. You can make a reservation at 264-2167 by 9 a.m. the morning of the day you would like to dine in the cafe. For your convenience, you can make your reservations in advance or have a standing reservation on days you know you will always attend. Please cancel if you cannot attend on your standing reservation days.
