Eva Jean Sparks, aka “Momma Jean” and “Granny Jean.”
She was born Jan. 29, 1926, as Eva Jean Poe. Yes, those Poes.
She accepted the truth from the Bible after reading “Face the Facts” when she was 13 years old.
She died a faithful servant of Jehovah on July 29 at age 88.5. She will never be forgotten for her faith and the love she showed for Jehovah’s name. (Heb. 5:10)
She gave birth to six children. She is survived by four of her children and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 35 Meadows Drive, on Saturday, Aug. 9, at 3 p.m. All are welcome.
