Real estate: Inventory up, affordability down

Second-quarter data for the real estate market in Archuleta County, dating April 13 through July 11, shows that new listings, sale prices and inventory are up. Overall, the quarter appears to be a strong one for the county, with only a few areas falling from 2013.

New listings were reported to be up 12 percent when compared to the same quarter in 2013. Year-to-date (YTD) listings are up 16 percent. The number of new listings greatly increased in the past few months, from 99 at the end of the fourth quarter of 2013, to the current number of 345.
