On Monday, July 21, the Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) will host a town hall-style meeting to gather feedback from the community.

Information and comments from the meeting, as well as other similar meetings held throughout the state over the next month, will then be incorporated into the CDHS 2015 Strategic Plan, which will guide the direction and priorities for the state department over the next year.

But beyond simply being a meeting for the state to gather information,  Archuleta County DHS Director Matt Dodson said he believes the meeting will be positive for the county, as well.

Dodson said he is looking forward to the meeting and that it will provide opportunities for additional working relationships between the state and the local department, and will help the two levels align visions for the DHS program.

Monday’s meeting is open to the public and is set to begin at 2 p.m. in the Ross Aragon Community Center, located on Hot Springs Boulevard.
