Katy Deshler, our experienced Medicare counselor, will be offering a Medicare 101 class this month. The class will be held at the Pagosa Springs Senior Center (in the community center) on Thursday, July 17, at 10 a.m. Katy will walk you through some basic and need-to-know information regarding Medicare. Please call 264-0502 to reserve a spot, as space is limited.
Picnic in the Park
The Senior Center will hold its next “Picnic in the Park” on Friday, July 25, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Burgers and brats, tri-colored pasta salad, roasted mixed vegetables, tossed salad and mixed berries will be served.
Senior Discount Club memberships are now offered Monday through Friday.

Did you know that the Pagosa Springs Senior Center has a fabulous salad bar? The salad bar is $6 for anyone under 60. If you are a senior (60 years and older), you are eligible for a hot meal, drink and our salad bar for only a $4 suggested donation.
All meals include our salad bar. Lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Friday, July 11 — Shrimp scampi with rice, broccoli/cauliflower, whole wheat roll and parfait.
Monday, July 14 — Chicken cacciatore, Italian vegetables with whole wheat penne pasta, focaccia bread and fruit.
Tuesday, July 15 — Combo burrito, vegetable green chili, cilantro rice and fruit.
Wednesday, July 16 — Meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, steamed beets, bran muffin and pear salad.
Reservations and cancellations are required. You can make a reservation at 264-2167 by 9 a.m. the morning of the day you would like to dine in the Community Café at the Pagosa Springs Senior Center. For your convenience, you can make your reservations in advance or have a standing reservation on days you know you will always attend. Please cancel if you cannot attend on your standing reservation days.
