Miller-Hunter’s professional recognitions include a two-time nomination for Chiropractor of the Year in Colorado and a nomination as Chiropractor of the Year by Life West Chiropractic School. She was twice nominated Chamber of Commerce-Evergreen Area Volunteer of the Year. She has a professional membership in a volunteer organization called Pro-Sport Chiropractic Association and has traveled throughout Colorado providing free chiropractic services at rodeos. She was a board member for the Colorado Chiropractic Association; coordinator for the Colorado Disaster Relief Teams; and provided rescue services for horses during disasters.
Miller-Hunter was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame at Johnson State. In recent years, she has been coaching and swimming at the masters level and placed eighth in the nation for her age group in the 200 meter breaststroke. One of her favorite accomplishments is swimming from Alcatraz to San Francisco on two occasions.
