On June 17, the Archuleta County Board of County Commissioners approved for the county to file an extension for additional time to file its annual audit with the state.
According to Larry Walton, county finance director, the need for an extension stems from under-staffing in the finance department that has caused the preparation for the 2013 audit to be behind schedule.
