On Monday, May 19, a microburst hit Rae Elaine Maes’ house and tore the secondary roof off, severely damaging the structure of her home.
Maes’ home is a mobile home that was built in the 1960s. Due to the age of the home, the insurance was minimal, and the damage was so extensive that repairing the home is not an option.
An account has been established to assist Maes in replacing her home. Checks can be made payable to Teresa Mael with the note in the memo field: “Donation to Rae Elaine Maes.” Donations may be sent to Citizens Bank of Pagosa, P.O. Drawer 1508, Pagosa Springs, CO 81147.
