The Southwest Basin Roundtable (SWBRT) convened in Cortez Wednesday, May 14, to discuss water issues and to continue drafting the region’s Basin Implementation Plan (BIP).
Each regional roundtable is responsible for drafting a BIP to address water challenges facing the area. Each BIP will ultimately help inform the statewide Colorado Water Plan currently being drafted. The state’s water plan is expected to be complete by December 2015.
