“What lies behind us and what lies ahead of us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.”

— Ralph Waldo Emerson, American essayist, lecturer and poet.

Eighty-three Pagosa Springs High School seniors will participate in the rite of passage that is graduation this Saturday, May 31, beginning at 10 a.m. in the PSHS gymnasium. Doors will open at 8 a.m.

The 83 graduates are led by valedictorian Zachary Ellis and salutatorian Rose Graveson.

“Thank you for your time here in Archuleta School District,” PSHS Principal Sean O’Donnell said in offering his congratulations to the graduates for their accomplishments.

The graduates chose black and white for their class colors and a black carnation dipped in gold as their class flower.

The class song is “Wake Me Up” by Avicil and the class motto is the above quote from Emerson.
