The Archuleta County Board of County Commissioners present high school seniors with the county’s environmental awareness scholarships in the amount of $500 each Tuesday. Seniors wrote essays and gave presentations to earn their scholarships and six awards were distributed. Money for each scholarship comes from the aluminum can recycling program at the transfer station.
