The Region 9 Economic Development District in Southwest Colorado won a grant from the Economic Development Administration (EDA), according to an announcement from U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet.
“That’s our planning and technical assistance grant,” Region 9 executive director Ed Morlan explained, “we are an economic development district and we provide services helping strategic planning. We get paid to help communities with their strategic planning — collecting information, processing data, analyzing trends — and this will help pay for that.”
