The Monday, May 19, San Juan Back Country Horsemen (BCH) meeting program will feature U.S. Forest Service Pagosa District Hydrologist Ivan Geroy presenting a dynamic program showing the effects of last year’s West Fork Complex fires on our water and wilderness resources.

Social time for the meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Archuleta County Fairgrounds Extension building on U.S. 84, a quarter mile south of Pagosa Springs. The meeting and presentation will start at 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Our BCH chapter has adopted Anderson Trail for trail maintenance under an agreement with the San Juan National Forest Pagosa District. We will keep the trail in shape for all users. There’s a job for everyone in trail maintenance.

Our National Trails Day Celebration is June 7. We have a busy and rewarding trail season starting. Come to the meeting to see what’s happening.
