The unofficial results for the Pagosa Area Water and Sanitation District’s May 6 election are as follows:
• Paul Hansen, 733 votes.
• Gordon McIver, 719 votes.
• David West, 90 votes.
• Allan Bunch, 89 votes.
• Jennifer Burck, 55 votes.
Election results will remain unofficial until eight days after the election, in compliance with the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA).
The district was seeking to elect two directors to its board. The results above indicate that Hansen and McIver will likely be sworn in during the next PAWSD board meeting.
The next regularly scheduled PAWSD board meeting will take place Wednesday, May 14, at 6:30 p.m. to accommodate the election calendar. Meetings are held at the district’s administrative office at 100 Lyn Ave.
