BoCC amends land use regs on kennels, animal shelters

On Tuesday, the Archuleta County Board of County Commissioners approved a resolution amending portions of the county’s land use regulations that deal with animals.

More specifically, the changes concern kennels and animal shelters.

In section 3.1.3 of the Archuleta County Land Use Regulations, the table of uses by zoning district was amended to allow kennels in Agricultural Ranching (AR), Agricultural Estates (AE), Commercial (C) and Industrial (I) zones with a conditional use permit.
