Mountain High Gardeners to explore organic gardening

Members and guests of Mountain High Gardeners have a unique opportunity to learn more about organic farming in Pagosa Country at its upcoming meeting on May 21 at 10 a.m. Staff members of Chimney Rock Farms will be conducting a tour of their organic growing operation.

Members wishing to carpool should meet at the parking lot in front of Alco at 9:15 a.m. on May 21. The farms are about 22 miles west of Pagosa Springs on U.S. 160. Turn left into driveway off U.S. 160. Wear comfortable walking shoes and sun protection for the tour.

Mountain High Gardeners meet the third Wednesday of the month (except for the months of January and December) at 10 a.m. at the county Extension building, unless otherwise noted. Its goals are to promote the enjoyment of gardening and to promote fellowship among fellow gardeners.
