Medicare counseling will now be offered, by appointment only, every Wednesday at the Senior Center (in the community center).
If you are already on Medicare and need to review your plan (each year), we can help. If you are turning 65 this year and need help or have questions, we can help. If you are receiving Social Security disability benefits, you are probably eligible for Medicare and we can help.
You may be eligible for extra help if your income falls below a certain amount. Again, we can help.
Call to make an appointment by contacting the Area Agency on Aging located in Pagosa Springs. Our experienced and talented Medicare counselors are here to help and the service is free. Call 264-0502.

AARP — Smart Driver Program — Accredited Defensive Driver Program. You may be eligible for senior discounts on your auto insurance for up to three years. Learn more on Thursday, May 8, 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. and Thursday, June 19, 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. in the dining room of the Pagosa Springs Senior Center. Cost for AARP members is $15, non-members $20. All meals include our fabulous salad bar. Lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Friday, May 2 — Shrimp scampi with rice, broccoli/cauliflower/carrots, parfait, whole wheat roll and salad bar.
Monday, May 5 — Chicken enchiladas, Spanish rice, Mexican corn, refried beans and salad bar.
Tuesday, May 6 — Broccoli/ham quiche, asparagus, fresh fruit with almonds, banana whole wheat muffin and salad bar.
Wednesday, May 7 — Turkey meatloaf, mashed potatoes/gravy, steamed beets, bran muffin, orange wedge and salad bar.
Reservations and cancellations are required. You can make a reservation at 264-2167 by 9 a.m. the morning of the day you would like to dine at the Pagosa Springs Senior Center. For your convenience, you can make your reservations in advance or have a standing reservation on days you know you will always attend. Please cancel if you cannot attend on your standing reservation days.
